Learning Magic has many approaches to teaching, and will tailor the approach to the individual student's needs.

Wilson Reading Program

The Wilson Reading Program teaches students how to fluently and accurately decode (read) and encode (spell). The Wilson Reading Program addresses individual learning styles using multi-sensory, structured language techniques.

Wilson Reading Program teaches total word construction, not just phonics, so that multi-syllabic reading and spelling become manageable.

Lindamood-Bell Program

Individuals with weak concept imagery have difficulty with reading comprehension, critical thinking, and may not easily follow directions or connect to conversations. Visualizing and Verbalizing (V&V) stimulates concept imagery, attention skills, and memory and cognitive development. Individuals become able to image gestalts which include color and movement. This imagery improves their language comprehension, reasoning and expressive language skills.

Visualizing and Verbalizing (V&V) stimulates concept imagery to improve reading comprehension. This ability underlies oral and written comprehension problem solving and critical thinking, and consequently students are able to process the "big picture" and perform higher order thinking skills.

Connected through Math Program (CMP)

Through Connected Mathematics, your middle school students become better thinkers, doers and communicators. We complement the school work and provide missing components.

MCAS Remediation

The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) is the statewide assessment program developed in response to the Education Reform Law of 1993.

Our teachers and tutors are familiar with the MCAS goals, standards and strands. Our personalized programs raise student achievement and complement the state and district's goals.

SAT Prep

Summer Camps: Summer is the perfect time to prepare for or strengthen skills. We offer academic camps in all areas including pre-reading. Call for more details.
